Freelancing – the editor speaks

I can easily while away a morning on Google searching everything from story ideas to old classmates. In one recent Google session I found an old housemate who is now a secondary school history teacher in England.

When I was Googling this morning I came across an interesting entry posted last September in Shane Hegarty’s blog. The entry, entitled ‘How to be a good freelance journalist’, is a good read for any budding freelance journalist. As I begin my second expedition into the freelancing realm I make a note of the main pieces of advice.
